Orlando Pirates trigger option on striker’s contract
Orlando Pirates have triggered an option on Tshegofatso Mabasa‘s contract following his return from rivals Moroka Swallows.

This is according to a report by iDiski Times, who suggests that Mabasa’s contract was set to expire in June.
Now, having extended the initial contract by two more years, Pirates know they have a natural striker for the next two years.

ORLANDO PIRATES EXTEND MABASA’S CONTRACT FOR TWO YEARS
“Orlando Pirates have activated a two-year option in the contract of striker Tshegofatso Mabasa, whose deal was expiring at the end of the current season,” reads part of the report.
MABASA IS AMONGST PSL LEADING GOALSCORERS
Mabasa is amongst the leading goalscorers in the league with six goals – all scored during his brief stint with Swallows.

He is two goals behind Cape Town City’s Khanyisa Mayo who is currently sitting with eight league goals.
The left-footed frontman will now hope to add to the tally in the remaining matches of the season with Pirates.
