Andrés Camacho, ministro de Energía en Colombia, dio a conocer una serie de medidas sobre el consumo en exceso de energía y el cobro de más que se le impondría a los hogares a través de los recibos de ese servicio.

El anuncio lo dio a conocer el gobierno del presidente Petro luego de que varios analistas alertaran por el bajo nivel de los embalses y un eventual riesgo de apagón.

Dijo el presidente Petro que, a pesar del incremento en el nivel de los embalses, es necesario que se revisen las medidas para mitigar el consumo excesivo de agua y energía en Colombia, por lo que se tomarán medidas para cobrar a través del recibo del servicio a quienes no respeten ciertos límites.

Subieron embalses, bajó demanda y nuevas medidas para evitar apagón de energía

“Se fijará un consumo de referencia para cada usuario teniendo en cuenta la lectura de su último consumo de energía con corte del ciclo de facturación del 15 de abril”, explicó el ministro Camacho, en rueda de prensa.

Agregó el funcionario del gobierno Petro que este último consumo, en tanto se realizó en temporada seca y de calor, “supone una referencia alta para cada consumidor”.

¿Cuánto subiría el precio del recibo de energía por un alto consumo en Colombia?

Aclaran desde el Gobierno que las medidas están superando un consumo superior al de referencia. A estos hogares, dijo Camacho, se les cobrará un porcentaje más cada Kvh superior.

  • Para estratos 1 a 3: cada Kvh adicional tendrá un costo 30 % mayor
  • Para estratos 4 a 6: cada Kvh adicional tendrá un costo 50 % mayor
  • Para comercio e industria: cada Kvh adicional tendrá un costo 100 % mayor

Aclaró el ministro Camacho que los recursos que se recojan por el exceso del consumo de energía, y que se cobrarán a través de los recibos en Colombia, lo tendrán a cargo cada comercializadora.

Finalmente, el dinero “se abonará proporcionalmente como incentivo a quienes tuvieron un consumo inferior al de referencia”, dijo el Ministerio.
