El propietario del Botafogo, el empresario estadounidense John Textor, presentó este lunes ante varios senadores que investiga la manipulación de resultados mediante apuestas ilegales, algunos “indicios” de presuntos amaños de partidos de fútbol en la liga brasileña.

El presidente de la comisión parlamentaria Jorge Kajuru, quien también ejerce funciones como senador, aseguró que “tuvieron conocimiento de diversos indicios”, tras sostener una reunión con el Textor.

Previo a esa reunión, el dirigente y también magnate estadounidense, había denunciado públicamente al estamento arbitral y también acusó a la Confederación Brasileña de Fútbol (CBF) de no ser transparente en las decisiones.

Para ese momento, Textor anunció que presentaría dichos informes, que la empresa francesa Good Game, había realizado con una tecnología especializada que permitía corroborar sus sospechas sobre la corrupción en el fútbol de Brasil.

“Tenemos indicios suficientes para investigar profundamente y de forma independiente”, señaló el senador Kajuru. Asimismo, Indicó que en las próximas semanas árbitros, dirigentes de clubes y representantes de las casas de apuestas podrían sometidos a declaraciones e investigaciones al respecto.

“Algunas casas de apuestas necesitan dar explicaciones a Brasil porque hasta ahora no han presentado absolutamente nada sobre lo que hemos sabido hoy”, advirtió.

Eduardo Girão, otro senador que estuvo presente en dicha reunión, manifestó que los indicios que pudieron ver, transcienden “el comportamiento de los jugadores” y dejan en entredicho el funcionamiento del VAR.

“Tenemos que entender por qué ocurrió eso y si la CBF tomó medidas. Estamos aquí para proteger el fútbol brasileño”, destacó Girão.

Esta tecnología, que ofrece la empresa francesa, “identifica cuál es el comportamiento normal en cada milésima de segundo, identifica un cierto margen de variación. Si el futbolista no está actuando dentro de ese margen, marca esa interacción como anormal”, así lo explicó Textor.
