The Traitors' banished star Ash admits she is still backing Paul and Harry to win despite them betraying her - amid fan theories that she will expose them in her exit speech

The Traitors star Ash has admitted that she is still backing Paul and Harry to win the smash hit BBC competition despite them turning on her in brutal scenes.

Ash, 45, was the first Traitor to be banished from the Scottish castle in drama-packed scenes on Wednesday after her strategy completely backfired.

She nominated herself to be isolated in the dungeon alongside Paul, 36, in a bid to evade suspicion from her after she came under fire from the Faithfuls when Harry and Paul betrayed her.

However, the decision sealed her fate as the Faithfuls became more convinced of her guilt upon her isolation, and her fellow Traitors Harry, Paul and Miles all voted her out in a strategic move.

Despite their shock betrayal, Ash admitted she is still on team Traitors and is rooting for them all to win, and said she is ready to enjoy watching the show as an unaware viewer following her eviction.

Speaking to Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson on Thursday’s This Morning, Ash said: I feel like I need to be a Traitor until the end, I’ve got to support my Traitor brothers.

‘I’ve still got to support them! If the show is called Traitors, it’s got to be about the Traitors!’

She also remained tight-lipped about fans’ theories that she is set to expose Paul in her exit speech, after viewers were left on a cliffhanger ending amid her banishment.

Craig said: ‘Paul is going to be found out really soon,’ to which Ash innocently replied: ‘Do you reckon?’

When asked about her strategy on the show, Ash also admitted her downfall was being too trusting of her fellow Traitors and not being herself on the show.

‘I think perhaps was I too trusting of my fellow Traitors? But you know, we’re Traitors, Traitors got to trait! That’s our job, that’s what we’ve got to do,’ she said.

‘I think [not being myself] was possibly my downfall, I think if I had been myself a bit more, I like to joke around and I like to have fun, but I had to be more serious.

‘But if I had relaxed a bit more, enjoyed myself, maybe people wouldn’t have looked at me.’

After Ash’s banishment, fans have predicted that she will expose her fellow traitor Paul in her exit speech following his betrayal.

Taking to social media, they wrote: ‘That cliffhanger for sure means Ash is going to drop a bombshell when she leaves. I reckon she’ll tell them she wasn’t the only Traitor in the dungeon totally throwing Paul under the bus. Love it;’

‘Honestly, if I was playing the game I would def. vote for someone who’d been condemned to the Dungeon at the Round Table because it’s exactly how a Traitor would try to appear innocent, plus you greatly increase your chances of getting a Traitor out;’

‘This twist is a mess because they sent 2 traitors in the dungeon. Now we know Meg will be the next murdered.’

The tense episode had a huge plot twist as Traitors Ash and Paul both put themselves at risk of being voted out as they headed into the dungeon.

She also remained tight-lipped on fans' theories that she is set to expose Paul in her exit speech as she refused to shed light on whether she gets her own back on the Traitors

The pair nominated themselves to be separated from the group and placed in the bowels of the castle alongside Faithfuls Meg and Andrew.

But their strategy nearly backfired as Andrew was saved by the Faithfuls rather than Paul or Ash, meaning that if Meg had been sent home, nobody would have been murdered and their identities would have been rumbled.

Paul said the move was a ‘strategy within a strategy’ to get Ash voted out so they can give the Faithfuls a Traitor and he can cement his status as a fake Faithful.
