The value of the Turkish lira is declining rapidly.

A television interview by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has again caused the Turkish lira to fall sharply. He promised to keep interest rates low until the elections in 2023. This should break the short-term dependence on foreign investment. The Turkish lira fell sharply: a euro is currently worth no less than 15 lira, compared to less than 10 lira a few months ago.
