Donte was a series regular on the first four series of the show as the resident bad boy in the high-school. However, this time, the character will return as a teacher at the school.

“It’s where it all started for him and he was really excited when it was announced the show would be coming back.
“Of course Adam was thrilled to be asked to return and didn’t hesitate in saying yes. It’s something he’s made no secret of and made it clear to bosses he was eager to do.
“He’s overjoyed it’s finally happening!”
In the past, Adam has expressed his interest in reprising the role that made him a household name. In 2018, he said he would “love nothing more” than playing Donte again.
Back then, he said: “That show has such a special place in my heart, as it was my first regular character role.
“I loved every minute of that series, so getting to see everyone again and getting to work with everyone again would be amazing.”
The BBC announced that they would be bringing back Waterloo Road in September, six years after the show left our screens back in March 2015.
The channel took to social media to break the news and wrote: “Psst. We’ve heard a rumour going around school… Brand new Waterloo Road coming soon!’
Piers Wenger, the BBC’s director of in-house drama added: “Waterloo Road is the perfect lens through which to explore post-Covid Britain, from the perspective of those who have arguably been affected most: young people in education.”
Adam, who appeared on I’m A Celeb in 2016, gave his advice to the current campmates and told them to “get a grip” as some of them threatened to leave.
He said on an Instagram story: “What is going on? It’s day two. Get a grip of yourself.
“I can’t believe it. They’re dropping out like flies. Oh my god this is not good.”
