KUALA LUMPUR: The Kampung Orang Asli Gangai locality in Muallim, Perak will come under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), from tomorrow until Oct 6.
National Security Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad said the Covid-19 infection trend in the locality and a risk assessment conducted by the Health Ministry warranted an EMCO to be implemented there.
Similarly, he said, an EMCO will also be enforced at Kampung Rompon in Tambunan, Sabah for two weeks, starting Friday (Sept 24) until Oct 7.
Meanwhile, Rodzi said the EMCO at four localities in Pahang that began on Sept 10 will be lifted as scheduled tomorrow.
These localities are Kampung Batu 1, Jalan Mentakab in Temerloh; Felda Keratong 8 in Rompin; Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Kiol and Kampung Orang Asli Tekeh as well as Felda Sungai Tekam in Jerantut.
Rodzi said the EMCO in another four localities in Sabah will also end as scheduled tomorrow.
These localities include Kampung Lohan Ulu in Ranau; Kampung Pengalat Kecil in Papar, Kampung Ulu and Kampung Pasir Putih in Putatan.
In Perak, the EMCO that was implemented at Taman Samudera, Seri Manjung in Manjung that began on Sept 5 was lifted today, earlier than scheduled.
