Nigeria keeper Nwabali not interested in Kaizer Chiefs
Nigeria and Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is not keen on moving to Europe or Kaizer Chiefs.
The 27-year-old played a significant role in helping the Super Eagles reach the African Cup of Nations finals, where they lost to the host, Ivory Coast, last Sunday.
He was in exceptional form against Bafana Bafana in the semi-finals, making two penalty saves that helped the Super Eagles secure a 4-2 victory.
Nigeria shot-stopper Nwabali urged to move to Europe
Following his heroics, there were threads made to him not to return to South Africa to play for his club Chippa United.
Nwabali however is eager to return to the PSL, and has no intention of moving to Europe.
“People have been sending messages like they want me to move to Europe or they want me to move to a bigger club,” Nwabali told Arise News.
“I really appreciate that, but to be honest, one thing about me is that I always feel comfortable even if I’m in a small place; I don’t like to rush,” said Nigeria’s number one keeper.
