El entrenador neerlandés volvió a sacar al extremo y hay una estadística que lo condena por tomar aquella decisión.

Desde ahí, el rendimiento del equipo grande decayó a tal punto que el equipo del ascenso alcanzó el empate antes del final de los 90 minutos.

Coventry descontó por primera vez a 5 minutos de la salida del Bichito y volvió a hacerlo a los 34 del complemento. Ya en tiempo adicionado lo igualaron y tuvieron incluso chances clarísimas de ganarlo en el tiempo suplementario. Afortunadamente para Ten Hag, los penales cayeron para su lado y ahora enfrentarán a Manchester City en la final.

En redes sociales cayó un centenar de críticas contra el entrenador neerlandés por haber sacado a una de sus figuras. Y así se visibilizó un dato que juega a favor del integrante de la Selección Argentina. Es que, tres de las últimas cuatro veces que fue reemplazado, el United no pudo mantenerse arriba en el marcador.

Ante Chelsea, el 4 de abril, el United lo ganaba 3-2 al momento del reemplazo de Garnacho. Desde allí, los Blues crecieron y se llevaron el partido por 4-3, dejando con las manos vacías a los de Ten Hag.

El otro antecedente reciente fue apenas tres días después del de los londinenses. Ante Liverpool, Manchester estaba arriba por 2-1 cuando salió el argentino, pero se llevó apenas un empate por 2-2 a causa de un penal de Mohamed Salah.
