Das macht Alkohol mit deiner Haut

Alkohol verursacht…

1. … Rötungen

„Alkohol weitet die Blutgefäße und verstärkt die Durchblutung. Die Haut ist gerötet, und man schwitzt schneller“, erklärt Dr. Yael Adler, Fachärztin für Dermatologie, Phlebologie und Ernährungsmedizin aus Berlin. „Das Bindegewebe der Blutgefäße wird geschädigt, und auch die Ansteuerung der Gefäße durch Nerven verschlechtert sich, sodass sich die erweiterten Äderchen und Rötungen nicht verengen können und dauerhaft sichtbar bleiben.”

Was hilft? Anti-Rötungs-Seren, die die Gefäßwände stärken. Bleiben die roten Äderchen sichtbar, kann eine Laserbehandlung helfen.

2. … Schwellungen

Dicke Augen und ein aufgedunsenes Gesicht? „Je regelmäßiger du trinkst, umso schwerer fällt es dem Körper, zu entgiften“, sagt Dr. Yael Adler. Der Richtwert: Auch am Wochenende nicht mehr als zwei kleine Biere oder Gläser Wein pro Tag trinken.

Was hilft? Flüssigkeitshaushalt ausgleichen, also ordentlich Wasser trinken. Dazu viel Bewegung an der frischen Luft, damit das System wieder in Schwung kommt und Schwellungen verschwinden.

3. … ölige Haut und Pickel

Trinkgelage lassen die Talgdrüsen verrückt spielen. „Durch die Dysregulation der Hormone und die Stimulation der Talgdrüsen kommt es vermehrt zu Fettglanz, verstopften Poren und Pickeln. Zuckrige Drinks verstärken den Effekt, weil Zucker die Talgdrüsen stimuliert und Entzündungen fördert“, warnt Dr. Adler.

Was hilft? Mit austrocknenden Waschgels dagegen anzukämpfen, ist der falsche Weg. Eine milde Reinigung entfernt überschüssigen Talg. „Trage bei hartnäckigen Unreinheiten stellenweise eine therapeutische Creme vom Hautarzt * von deiner Hautärztin auf, die Verhornungen löst, zum Beispiel mit den Wirkstoffen Adapalen, Tretinoin, Trifaroten oder Azelainsäure”, rät die Dermatologin.

4. … fahle, trockene Haut

Der Brand nach einer durchzechten Nacht macht klar, dass der Körper viel Flüssigkeit verloren hat – und der Blick in den Spiegel auch: Die Haut ist ausgezehrt und fahl. Klar, Alkohol hat eine stark dehydrierende Wirkung – neben Feuchtigkeit gehen auch wichtige Mineralien und Spurenelemente flöten.

Was hilft? Um die Defizite nach dem womöglich übermäßigen Alkoholkonsum auszugleichen, empfiehlt Expertin Yael Adler frische Gemüsesäfte, die Vitamine, Mineralien und Pflanzenfarbstoffe enthalten und schlapper Haut wieder Leben einhauchen. Besser also gleich vorbeugen, mit der altbekannten Regel: Nach jedem alkoholischen Drink sofort ein Glas Wasser kippen – so bleibt nicht nur der Kopf klarer, sondern auch die Haut.

5. … Falten

Alkohol lässt die Haut schneller alt aussehen. Schuld ist u.a. das giftige Abbauprodukt Acetaldehyd, das zum Teil über die Haut ausgeschieden wird und ihr zusetzt. „Viele Drinks enthalten zudem Zucker. Er verklebt die Eiweiße der Gewebefasern in der Haut, die ihr Stützgerüst bilden. Dadurch wird die Faltenbildung beschleunigt“, fügt Dr. Yael Adler hinzu. Dehydrierung und Nährstoffmangel lassen das Gewebe ebenfalls schneller ausleiern.

Was hilft? Möglichst wenig zuckerhaltige Drinks, dazu vor dem Schlafengehen viel Wasser trinken. Eine Augencreme mit Koffein lässt dich tags darauf weniger müde aus der Wäsche gucken.

6. … Entzündungen

„Alkohol schwächt die Immunabwehr, weshalb Hautinfekte, etwa durch Bakterien und Hefepilze, leichter auftreten. Krankheiten wie Schuppenflechte und Neurodermitis werden ebenfalls getriggert“, erklärt Dr. Yael Adler. Die Wundheilung läuft schleppender, weil im Darm die Aufnahme nötiger Mikronährstoffe gestört ist.

Was hilft? “Man kann die Haut kurmäßig für ein bis drei Monate mit Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln unterstützen, etwa Zink, Vitamin D, Selen und Omega-3-Fettsäuren, Vitamin C, B-Vitamine und Biotin – am besten vorher alles im Blut bestimmen lassen“, rät die Ärztin. Und natürlich – wie bei allen Punkten – den Konsum verringern. Das ist immer noch der beste Rat.
