The one-minute-forty-second teaser begins with scenic shots of Kashmir, before it turns its lens towards its fractured peace and riots. “In Kashmir, terrorism is a business,” Yami says. “It has nothing to do with freedom, but everything to do with money.” The teaser then argues that the leaders of Kashmir have been exploiting the situation of the state for corrupt reasons. The video ends with the government announcing the abrogation of Article 370.
The film is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and is headlined by Yami Gautam and Priyamani. Article 370 is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar–Uri: The Surgical Strike filmmaker– and Lokesh Dhar.

In a statement, Yami Gautam called Article 370 a “bold chapter of India’s history” and said the upcoming film is inspired by true events, which will show “an in-depth” portrayal of how intelligence and politics work hand in hand to “take some of the most important decisions that change the course for a nation.”
“I am hopeful that the audience will enjoy this genre-defining film. Personally, for me as an actor, this film gave me the opportunity to delve into newer depths of complexities and once again gave me a role that hasn’t been treaded before,” she added.
Director Aditya Suhas Jambhale said the film “perfectly” balances politics with action. Largely shot in Kashmir and Delhi, the film will give a glimpse into the “incredible story of rendering Article 370 ineffective,” the director said.
Article 370 is gearing to release in cinemas worldwide on February 23. Yami Gautam was last seen in OMG 2.
