Ein Pass, der den FC Bayern bis ins Mark traf. Toni Kroos hat den deutschen Rekordmeister im Halbfinalhinspiel der Champions League gegen Real Madrid früh mit einem Geniestreich geschockt – und Experten verzückt.

Was war passiert? In der 24. Minute tat sich plötzlich eine riesige Lücke in der Bayern-Abwehr auf. Der Ex-Münchner Kroos erkannte diese und schickte Stürmer Vinicus Junior mit einem traumhaften flachen Steilpass in den Lauf.

Der Brasilianer hatte frei vor Bayern-Keeper Manuel Neuer keine Mühe und schob zur Führung der Königlichen ein.

Kroos wird für „Welktklasse-Pass“ gefeiert

Wenig verwunderlich, dass Kroos für seinen Geniestreich gefeiert wurde. „Weltklasse-Pass“, lobte Trainer-Legende Peter Neururer im Fantalk auf SPORT1. Ex-Bayern-Star Miroslav Klose sprach bei Prime Video von einem „fantastischen Ball“.

„Steckpass-Toni“, postete FUMS auf X in Anspielung an den abfällig gedachten Spitznamen „Querpass-Toni“, der Kroos vor allem in Deutschland seit langem verfolgt.

Bundesliga-Legende Jan Aage Fjörtoft erinnerte an frühere Worte von Uli Hoeneß. „Hoeneß sagte einmal, dass Kroos den Ball nur quer spielt …“

Kritik an Bayern-Verteidiger

Dem Treffer gingen allerdings auch zwei eklatante Fehler in der Bayern-Hintermannschaft voraus. Zum einen hatte Kroos viel zu viel Platz, gleichzeitig narrte Vinicius Innenverteidiger Kim Min-Jae, der den verletzten Matthijs de Ligt vertrat.

Zunächst kam Vinicius dem Passgeber entgegen und zog Kim so aus der Kette heraus. Plötzlich machte der Brasilianer kehrt und sprintete in den freien Raum Richtung Bayern-Tor. Zu viel für Kim, der nicht mehr hinterherkam. „Mach nie den tödlichen Raum auf, wenn der Gegner einen offenen Ball hat“, kritisierte Matthias Sammer.

Allerdings brachte Real die Führung nicht über die Zeit: Nach der Halbzeitpause drehten die Bayern durch einen Doppelschlag von Leroy Sané (53.) und Harry Kane (57./Elfmeter) die Partie.
