OJ Simpson says his 'health is good' in haunting final social media video just two months before his death from prostate cancer aged 76 looking forward to Super Bowl

Legendary football player, screen actor, and infamous murder suspect OJ Simpson died Thursday at the age of 76 following a battle with prostate cancer, just two months after his final post to X, in which he assured fans he was in ‘good health.’

In a nearly two-minute video he posted ahead of the Super Bowl, the controversial superstar addressed those who had inquired about his health.

In February, it was revealed that Simpson had prostate cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatments in Las Vegas.

‘Thank you to all the people who reached out to me. My health is good,’ he said in the video filmed by a pool.

‘Obviously I’m dealing with some issues, but I think I’m just about over it, and I’ll be back on that golf course hopefully in a couple of weeks.’

At the time, he was fighting off rumors that he was in hospice care.

On Thursday, his family announced he had ‘succumbed to his battle with cancer’ while surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Back in 2019, on the 25th anniversary of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, which he was accused of committing before being acquitted, Simpson launched a Twitter account.

He quickly amassed hundreds of thousands of followers and soon made something of a name for himself as a presence on the app, often posting short videos of himself, in which he offered his opinions and commentary on a range of subject matters.

In recent months, Simpson was spotted looking frail during a number of outings in Las Vegas.

In October, Simpson looked nearly unrecognizable as he carried groceries around Sin City in a USC polo – his college team.
