The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Jake Chiasson to a three-year entry-level contract starting in the 2023-2024 season.
Chiasson, 19, was the Oilers fourth-round pick and 116th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft.
The 6’2″, 187 pound power forward from Abbotsford B.C. started his fourth full season with the Brandon Wheat Kings and netted 10 goals and 18 assists over 37 games. He was traded to the Saskatoon Blades in January. With the Blades he played 29 games and got 10 goals and 16 assists.
Over his 170 game WHL career he has accumulated 40 goals and 60 assists. He will return to Edmonton this summer to attend the teams annual development camp.
