He welcomed his daughter Lyra with his wife Cherry Seaborn last year.
And on Thursday, Ed Sheeran revealed how fatherhood has changed him and made his life more ‘wholesome’.
‘It’s made me want to get up early in the morning to have more time in the day. I get up at 5.30am with my daughter and we have breakfast,’ the singer told The Project.
‘Then I take her into the gym before I go to work,’ he added.
Ed went on to say: ‘My life has just shifted, it’s a lot more wholesome and I get more out of the day.’
Ed announced the safe arrival of his first-born on September 1 last year.
Revealing that Cherry, 28, had given birth the week before, he wrote: ‘Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you…
‘Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
‘We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here.
‘We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x.’
Ed and Cherry tied the knot in a private ceremony in January 2019.
They first met as children when they both attended Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk.
