Ed Sheeran fans can celebrate that Friday feeling as the singer today announced his huge 2022 tour.
The songwriter will play 12 concerts in the first leg of ‘The Mathematics Tour’ – including two nights in Glasgow.
Fresh from making a comeback to music and releasing his new singles ‘Bad Habits’, ‘Visiting Hours’ and ‘Shivers’, the one and only Ed Sheeran will kick off his tour on May 12 next year.
The Glasgow shows will take place at Hampden Park on Thursday June 16 and Friday June 17 2022.
Ed is due to release his fourth solo studio album ‘ =’ on 29th October, with its debut single “Bad Habits” already enjoying massive chart success.
The single has spent 11 weeks at Number 1 and is only expected to be knocked off the top spot if Ed’s new song ‘Shivers’ take its place.
Back in 2019, he broke U2’s record for the highest-grossing tour of all time, generating £567m from 260 concerts. An incredible 8.5m tickets were sold.
Ed’s tour goes on sale on Saturday 25 September but with only two shows in Glasgow, Scottish fans best be quick if they want to bag a ticket!
