We’re taking a step back to the golden age of cinema and music, a time dominated by Egyptian stars who were and still are on everyone’s radar. They didn’t just wow us in front of the camera but also in their everyday commute.

Why you may ask? These legends didn’t drive your typical average car but instead went for rare classic cars that’ve etched a place in automative history:

Known for his ballads that serenaded his love interests and watchers alike, the legendary Abdel Halim Hafez was also known as a passionate car collector. Throughout his career, he’d be seen driving his 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible, one of the most popular convertibles driven at that time.

One of the greatest names in Arab cinema has to be Rushdy Abaza, an icon of the screen. With him being an icon, he doesn’t even need to drive a special car but yet that he even does. The star was known to drive a Mercedes-Benz W111 and was one of the first celebrities to drive that car during that time.

“Marilyn Monroe of the East,” Hind Rostom, was the ultimate queen of seduction and the silver screen; yet, when it came to cars, she wasn’t really a car aficionado. Despite this, she drove quite a special car, the Peugeot 203.

Exuding charisma and known for his womanizing roles, Ahmed Ramzy has been magnitizing viewers through his roles on TV. So, of course, it makes sense that his own car embodies that very charisma. Cruising across Cairo, Ramzy was always seen in his Chevrolet Corvette 1954, a car that needs no introduction.
