Hardman Phil is facing the rest of his life behind bars and has found it hard to tell Kat that he's going inside for longer than she expects.

Phil finally admits that he’s actually looking at life in prison leaving Kat floored – but she vows to stand by him.

Global Tech News Daily

And not wanting to put her in harm’s way, Phil fails to give her the full picture and leaves out the informant deal offered by DCI Keeble.

In episodes aired earlier this month, Phil was given the option of avoiding a life sentence in prison for Vincent Hubbard’s murder.

Viewers convinced Grant Mitchell is returning

The hardman – who is played by actor Ross Kemp in the BBC soap – was heard by his brother Phil who is facing life in prison unless he agrees to become a police informant.

In last night’s episode Phil opened up about the informant deal to ex Sharon after she realised something was wrong.

She tried to convince him to take the deal and talk to Kat – but he refused and doubled down on breaking up with Kat.

But as Phil sat in the Square, he turned to look at the Vic and heard the voice of his late mum and brother.

Fans are now convinced Grant's words mean he's coming back.

He was last seen in 2016 when he discovered he had a son – Mark Jr.

One wrote: “Grant should come back while Phil's inside.”

A second said: “Was amazing hearing Peggy and grants voices in tonight's episode of EastEnders #EastEnders this should be a good time to bring grant back but Sharon telling him what's going on.”

Hollyoaks Lorna Pegler is unrecognisable 20 years after departure

The actress played Emily Taylor who hit the headlines at the time when she started up a lesbian relationship with Gina Patrick (Dannielle Brent) on the Channel 4 soap.

During her tenure on the soap, viewers watched as her character cheated on Gina with Nikki Sullivan, who later revealed she only kissed Emily to see how kissing a woman would feel.

Following the initial drama, Emily and Gina eventually reconciled, before the pair left Chester altogether to work in an orphanage in China.

But after leaving for pastures anew with Gina, actress Lorna went on to star in BBC soap Doctors and ITV's The Bill.

She also starred in comedy series Is Harry on the Boat? as Rosie Chadderton from 2002 to 2003.

The show, which aired for two seasons, was based on the 2001 film of the same name that followed a tour rep facing his first summer in Ibiza and his pursuit to have the ultimate party.

Nearly 20 years on from her last TV stint, Lorna has turned her back on acting and is firmly focusing on her fitness career.

    Emmerdale viewers outraged

Viewers were outraged as Ellis Chapman made a HUGE U-turn with Priya Sharma on Tuesday's episode.

Ellis – who is played by Aaron Anthony on the ITV soap – has been growing closer to his ex-girlfriend Belle Dingle over recent weeks.

Ellis and wedding planner Priya have been an on/off item over the past few months.

Viewers have watched Ellis try and support Priya after her burns injury from the survival challenge week, which led to a relapse of her eating disorder.

He previously confessed that Priya was the love of his life and promised to wait for her. But fans quickly pointed out that Ellis appears to have had a change of heart after developing a closer relationship with Belle.

One unhappy viewer wrote: “Thought Priya was the love of Ellis life, and he was going to wait for her! #Emmerdale”https://imasdk.googleapis.com/js/core/bridge3.496.0_en.html#goog_1217647445

Another posted: “Not feeling Ellis and Belle at all. Ellis should be with Priya.”

EastEnders deserves to fail – it’s a woke parallel universe

This is a comment piece by Ally Ross

IT’S taken them a hell of a long time, but EastEnders viewers finally seem to have had enough of the soap’s never-ending mix of death, disease and long-lost relatives.

And it’s not hard to see why.

For the first two decades of this century Islamist terrorists murdered Londoners at will, while EastEnders, a show which prides itself on reflecting “real life,” sat on its hands, looked the other way and did nothing.

It didn’t fit the woke narrative, you see, so as painfully real as the outrages were they couldn’t possibly be acknowledged by a drama that had pitched itself to the left of the political centre ever since it started in 1985.

Then, at Christmas, something really odd happened. The soap suddenly acknowledged the existence of a threat.

But guess what? It came via Aaron Monroe and a right-wing terrorist cell who tried and failed to blow up the new mosque.

What looked like the most perverse twist of truth imaginable to the vast bulk of the viewers, though, would just seem perfectly normal to the BBC’s middle-class echo chamber who have been churning out this parallel universe material for nearly 40 years, as they sincerely seem to believe Britain’s working class need to be shown the error of their prejudiced and psychopathic ways.

As a result, Walford may look and sound vaguely like London but it’s a place where no one talks about football, buys a tabloid or is allowed to have any fun or ambition and all men, without exception, are either weak or total bs.

Fans of Holby City left ‘crying with laughter’

BBC One viewers were “crying with laughter” when one of the lead characters were left with no choice but to use the sanitary product to stop the flow of bleeding.

The doctor was left with the injury after an incident in the canteen with his daughter Billie.

Left with a bloody nose, Russ pushed his daughter's spare tampons up his nostrils to stop the seeping.

Viewers were in fits at the comical scene, with one writing: “The way he’s now sat there with two tampons hanging out his nose.”

Another posted: “Tampons up the nose. I think that’s a first for Holby City.”

A third tweeted: “Oh Russ what you doing with them up your nose! LOL.”

Hollyoaks and Vera actor Joe McGann splits with wife

The TV star, who initially won legions of fans with his role in comedy The Upper Hand, has called time on his relationship with spouse Tamzin, whom he married in 2006.

The Sun Online can reveal Joe, known to Hollyoaks fans as soap villain Edward Hutchinson, is dating national campaigner Frances Molloy after they fell for each other during the first lockdown.

Joe often shares loved up snaps – via his Instagram – of them both out and about together.

In one, he hailed Frances as “my girl” and in another, showing the pair on a trip to London, he told how she was “my one.”

It was widely thought that Joe was still married to therapist and lifestyle guru Tamzin.

Yet Joe still has a snap of Tamzin on his Instagram feed – which was uploaded in 2015 – in which he describes her as ‘his heroine’.

The pair were also often spotted in Joe’s hometown of Liverpool.

    Phil Mitchell makes shocking decision

In an upcoming episode of the BBC soap, the Walford baddie's decision becomes clear as he meets with his ex-wife Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

In scenes due to air next week, Phil passes on deeds for her to take care of Mitchell's Autos, informally known as The Arches to every diehard EastEnders fan.

When Sharon asks why he chose her to take over his beloved business instead of his son, played by Max Bowden, he explains that the latter isn't in a good way.

This wouldn't be the first time Phil gives up his business as he already gave ownership rights to Sam Mitchell when he went to jail in 2003.

But while The Arches seem to have been left in Sharon's hands, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) later reminds Phil that they need to tell the kids that they have gone their separate ways.

Phil decided to break up with Kat to spare her from any heartbreak.

The former couple claim that their break up was caused by a major obstacle: Phil is going to prison for a very long time.

    Lack of awards

The battle for Best Soap at the Inside Soap Awards used to be hotly contested, with EastEnders scooping the gong every year from 2001 to 2014, bar two occasions when it was won by Corrie and Emmerdale.

However, in recent years, EastEnders has barely had a look in – with Hollyoaks beating them in 2019.

Corrie absolutely dominated at last year's event – winning the awards for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Newcomer, Funniest Performance, Best Partnership, Best Storyline and Best Soap.

Emmerdale won Best Villain and Best Family, with EastEnders taking home an award that sounded like it was made just for showing up – Best Feel-good Moment.

They didn't fare much better at the NTAs last year, with Corrie scooping the Serial Drama and Serial Drama Performance gongs.

Fans rip into ‘unbelievable’ hospital blunder on EastEnders

Baffled BBC One viewers swarmed over to social media branding the scene “unrealistic” and even insensitive.

For the past few weeks, Stuart has struggled to come to terms with his condition after he was diagnosed with male breast cancer.

In recent episodes of the long-running drama, the character portrayed by Ricky Champ finally opened up to his wife Rainie about his diagnosis.

But while the storyline attracted the attention of many viewers, some applauding the BBC soap for raising awareness around men with breast cancer, it has also ruffled a lot of feathers following last night's episode.

During the instalment, Rainie and Stuart were offered “an emergency appointment” and were able to visit with an NHS specialist.

The latter explained that he could fit Stuart in the same week for surgery.

But off-screen, and as fuming EastEnders viewers at home noted, waiting times can often add up to weeks or even months.

Fans of the programme turned to Twitter and bashed the segment, one viewer admitting that the wait time were sometimes so long, some patients don't even survive the illness.

“If EastEnders want to be realistic, cancer treatment takes months to get in the UK at the moment. My family lost someone because diagnosis and treatment took too long”, the viewer Tweeted.
