Insiders have revealed what led to Donald Trump’s GOP primary win over Nikki Haley in South Carolina.
Former US President Donald Trump received around 60 per cent of the vote while Nikki Haley secured about 40 per cent.
Aides with knowledge of Trump’s campaign strategy told Reuters part of the plan was to “isolate” Ms Haley politically, by locking down endorsements.
Political analysts have been questioning how much longer Haley can survive in the race to the White House.
Curtin University Dean of Global Futures Joseph Siracusa told Sky News Australia Haley will “continue to run for president” following her loss in the South Carolina Republican primary.
