Dr Reddy's Laboratories' CEO says Nestle has an 'amazing portfolio'
Yeah, I think we have a good momentum. We, the work that we’ve done in the previous years about our portfolio investment in the key markets make things happen for us. And it’s all about now especially nowadays with the the struggle of a supply chain and the and the need for a good service in the USO. A, the combination of new product as well as better service to the customer allow both the base products as well as the new products to give a very nice outcome indeed Indeed. I do want to get your sense in on the US market. You know given the fact that’s your largest market. Are you looking at actively diversifying right now because that puts a bit of a risk factor in place, especially the time when they’re talking about growth slowdown stateside. Yeah, We we we are diversified the company and the our key growth market is going to be India in the future in addition to the US. So we are well positioned in markets like India, China, other emerging markets as well as Europe. And you have also the leverage effect because the product that you can sell in the US, you can also sell obviously in the other markets and by that get also diversification but also economy of scale. How long is this new JV that you’ve got planned in India with Nestle going to take to to really Dr. earnings in a material way. Nestle has amazing portfolio and we kind of felt about companies that Nestle has a reputable brands, amazing science, obviously great quality of products and we we as companies share the the same vision and we said the share values especially about care for consumers and and quality and ethical behaviour. So we felt that they have the products, we have the market access. What we are going to do is to take the products that are now being sold by Nestle outside of India and bring it in the course of the next coming years to India. Some of these products will have to be adapted to India in terms of taste, in terms of colours, packaging etcetera and they obviously to meet the price points of India to make it affordable brands and that’s what is going to happen the next coming years. We, I believe that they can drive and change the nutraceutical business in in India.
