Wolf Spa had operated from the building in Kilbourn Street, Nottingham, from 2017
Plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council to turn a former gentleman’s spa into a property for multiple tenants. The application for the former Wolf Spa premises was submitted on January 22, 2024, following the approval of previous plans in October 2023, which requested that the building on Kilbourn Street be turned into an air hotel.
Unlike a traditional hotel, this would not have any permanent full-time staff present on the site. Due to this, several residents in the area shared concerns over the risks of anti-social behaviour, and even the possibility of the air hotel attracting homeless people or prostitution.
However, plans have now been submitted to the council requesting instead to change the former spa health club to housing for multiple occupants. This would see a total of seven bedsit studios being created at the 115 sqm site.
In the attached documents, a proposed layout for the site shows that two of the studios would have a lounge and ensuite on the ground floor and a bedroom directly above. The ground floor will also have a communal kitchen and two studios, and there will be a further three studios solely on the first floor.
Planning documents submitted by the applicant, Mr B Tiwana, show that the site is currently vacant and has not been used since October 2, 2017.
