Sky News Political Correspondent Olivia Caisley says there are concerns the stage three tax cut policy will add to inflationary pressures.
Ms Caisley says there are reports cabinet ministers could also be presented with “possible tweaks” to the stage three tax cut policy.
“This is a pretty contentious policy that the government’s committed to in full,” Ms Caisley told Sky News Australia.
“They’re due to come into play in the middle of this year.”
Her comments come as the government searches for ways they could deliver further cost of living relief in a way that doesn’t put upward pressure on inflation.
