Donald Trump faces 'sceptical' swing voters as 2024 election looms, expert warns

An expert has warned that there is a deep skepticism towards Donald Trump from voters in swing states

Donald Trump has been issued a warning for the 2024 elections as crucial swing voters remain sceptical. An expert suggests that Trump needs to secure more undecided voters to tip the scales in his favour.

Swiss-based political consultant, Louis Perron, provides a stark analysis of Trump’s political strategy. He argues that Trump’s numerous campaign rallies, where he fires up his supporters, may not be as beneficial as they seem.

This doubt among swing voters emerges as Americans appear more divided than ever over their choice for the next president. A survey by Pew Research Centre reveals that 49 percent of registered voters currently favour or lean towards Trump, while 48 percent support or lean towards Joe Biden.

However, the survey shows that most voters have little confidence in either candidate across key traits such as fitness for office, personal ethics, and respect for democratic values.

While Trump is perceived better in terms of physical and mental fitness, Biden scores higher on ethical conduct and respect for democratic values. Yet, both candidates face significant doubts among voters, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction with the political status quo, reports the Express US.

In this context, Trump’s legal challenges are a major concern, with 45 percent of Americans believing that his actions related to overturning the 2020 election were unlawful.

This view is particularly prevalent among Democrats, underlining the partisan divide over Trump’s behaviour.
