Now that Jim Harbaugh has moved on to the NFL and will join the Los Angeles Chargers, the Michigan Wolverines will begin their search for their next head coach.

Harbaugh’s final year at Michigan was a rollercoaster of the year. He was suspended twice for a total of six games before eventually winning the College Football Playoff National Championship.

During a majority of Harbaugh’s absences last season, offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore was called upon to serve as the team’s interim coach, going 4-0 in the games he coached.

A former offensive guard for the Oklahoma Sooners, Moore is regarded as one of the nation’s top offensive line coaches. He joined Michigan in 2018 and has continued to work his way into larger roles.

America learned about Moore after the Wolverines beat Penn State in Nov. and Moore delivered an emotional postgame interview that got the internet talking.

College football fans and media members have been lobbying for Moore to replace to Harbaugh in Ann Arbor ever since the NFL rumors began. Now that’s official, support is flooding in for Moore to be hired as the program’s next head coach.

“Michigan should hire Sherrone Moore has its next Head Coach. Period. The man has poured all his blood, sweat and tears into the program. Literally,” Robert Griffin III said.

“As a fan looking from the outside, it seems like Sherrone Moore should be the next coach. It sounds like the players love and respect him a lot and we have already watched him coach and win some of the biggest games of Michigan’s season in 2023,” a fan added.

“If I was Michigan, Sherrone Moore would be announced as the new HC within the hour…No reason to delay…Stability is vital,” Joel Klatt said.

“Feels like every single name that will be attached to the Michigan job is just about agents getting their clients some run as everyone knows it’s going to be Sherrone Moore,” Peter Burns said.

“If Michigan lingers in hiring a head coach, expect the Wolverines roster to be pillaged just like Alabama and Washington. All Michigan players can enter the portal for the next 30 days. You’re out of time here. Hire Sherrone Moore,” RJ Young said.

“Gotta be Sherrone Moore at Michigan right ? He earned that job Went 6-0 this season as interim,” Booger McFarland said.
