Joe Jonas’ DNCE are reuniting without bassist Cole Whittle.
The Jonas Brothers star has confirmed the ‘Cake By The Ocean’ group – also comprising JinJoo Lee and Jack Lawless – are set to release new music as a trio.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “While I was in the Jonas Brothers again, I put a pause on all things DNCE, with the support of my fellow bandmates.
“So it became this thing where we all went and did our own thing and started to look at what else we wanted to do. Cole’s been making really amazing music that’s right up his alley, and I’m really supportive of him.”
DNCE have announced their first new music since 2018, a track with KYGO called ‘Dancing Feet’.

He’ll always be missed!
‘Space Oddity’ hitmaker David Bowie was born on January 8, 1947, and would have celebrated his 75th birthday in 2022. This month is an emotional one for Bowie’s fans, as the singer passed away on January 10, 2016, after a long and unknown battle with liver cancer. The singer – whose music catalogue was recently sold to Warner Music – was adored by people around the world. Here’s what some of your favourite celebrities thought of the legendary musician.

Ice-T
In 1993 David Bowie had a chat with MTV’S Mark Goodman, where he called the network out about the lack of Black artists featured on their programming. The interview went viral in January 2021, while actor and rapper Ice-T did not hesitate to praise Bowie’s words. He wrote on Twitter: “A lotta people may NOT know that David Bowie put MTV on blast back in the day for NOT playin’ Black artists. He side stepped the double talk. Bowie was a REAL ONE.”

Boy George
Over the years, countless musicians have credited David Bowie as their main influence. Boy George, for instance, is known for embracing both masculinity and femininity in his performances, and he has admitted his inspiration came from the ‘Ziggy Stardust’ performer. After his tragic passing in 2016, George said via his manager: “There would not be Boy George if it wasn’t for David Bowie.”

Kanye West
David Bowie’s influence transcended genres, and Kanye ‘Ye’ West holds him in high regard. In 2016, the ‘Flashing Lights’ singer took to Twitter to heap praise on the musician. He wrote: “David Bowie was one of my most important inspirations, so fearless, so creative, he gave us magic for a lifetime.”

Billy Corgan
The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has highlighted the incredible work ethic and drive which took Bowie to the top of his game. Speaking during a Q&A session in 2016, he said: “Don’t forget he had 12 or 13 failed singles before ‘Space Oddity’ became a hit song. He was considered a nobody, then he was a somebody.”

Madonna
Bowie was not only known for his music, but also for his unique styles over the years. Androgynous elements, eccentric outfit choices, heavy makeup and colorful hairstyles were just some of the vibes of his signature aesthetics. When he passed away in 2016, Queen of Pop Madonna was on tour in the United States. During one of her performances in Houston, she remembered him by saying: “He was one of the geniuses in the music industry, one of the greatest singer-songwriters in the 20th century. He showed me it was okay to be different.”

Clive Owen
‘Labyrinth’ actor Bowie didn’t just gain the admiration and respect of fans and other musicians, but also captivated plenty of Hollywood stars. His performances on and off stage delighted plenty of A-list celebs, including ‘Closer’ star Clive Owen. In an interview on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, he said: “I was crazy about David Bowie. I often say he might have more to do with me being an actor than anything because he was the first person to spark my imagination.”

Gary Oldman
In an interview with The Daily Mail, ‘The Fifth Element’ star Gary Oldman talked about Bowie, touching on their friendship rather than his contribution to the music industry. Bowie and Oldman were friends for over two decades and the latter described their friendship as humble. Oldman said: “We got on really well. He comes from the same part of the world as I do. I didn’t want anything from him, he didn’t want anything from me.”

Kate Moss
Another celeb who opened up about their relationship with the ‘Life on Mars’ hitmaker is English model Kate Moss. After his passing, she spoke with Net-a-Porter magazine, and described David Bowie as a true friend. She said: “I knew he would always have my back. “When Bowie [sticks up for you], you feel better. ‘It’s fine, Bowie loves me, I don’t care what others think.'”

Jimmy Fallon
Talk show host Jimmy Fallon described Bowie as “one of the greatest” he’d ever met, and even revealed the pair used to email each other jokes. In a touching tribute, he quipped: “So I’m just going to email, you, David Bowie. “And if you can check your email in space, or heaven or wherever you are, you don’t have to email me back.”

Sir Paul McCartney
Paying tribute after Bowie’s death, Sir Paul McCartney praised the singer for his “huge influence” as he recalled “the moments we had together”. He said: “David was a great star and I treasure the moments we had together. “His music played a very strong part in British musical history and I’m proud to think of the huge influence he has had on people all around the world. “I send my deepest sympathies to his family and will always remember the great laughs we had through the years. His star will shine in the sky forever.”
Joe said of the upbeat nature of the track: “It’s really happy. It’s that feeling of not really giving a f*** and enjoying life to the fullest.
“I think what DNCE always did so well was bring joy to people, which is what I wanted to do with this new batch of music.
“Obviously it’s still very tricky times, but it reminds us all of being able to go out there and dance and enjoy life.”
The pop band teased their return by changing their logo on social media and their bio to read: “We’re back to make you move.”
What’s more, the 32-year-old singer teased a snippet of their comeback song on TikTok at the weekend.
As for the future of Jonas Brothers, the band recently denied they are splitting up again and teased new music is in the pipeline.
The ‘Sucker’ hitmakers quashed a report that suggested their reunion was “effectively over”, and told fans on Twitter that they have some “exciting stuff” coming up “together and apart”.
Marking the second anniversary to the day the trio – completed by siblings Kevin and Nick Jonas – announced their comeback (24.02.21), they wrote: “That day and every day that followed has meant everything to us. Playing music together, getting back on the road, seeing all of your faces in the crowd, hearing your stories… Our 2019 (and even some of 2020!) was so special and it’s all because of how amazing you guys are … We have the best fans in the world and we love you so much! We all have a ton of exciting stuff coming and we can’t wait for you guys to hear all about it.”
