Anna Daly reveals TV hopes for the future as she admits her life is far from perfect

With her showbiz career and fashion line, Anna Daly’s life looks, at least on the surface, like the last word in glamour.

In reality, she readily and refreshingly admits that it’s anything but. Anna, like most working mums, finds herself ‘winging it’ as she navigates parenthood and managing her business commitments.

It’s for that reason she says that she is careful to give an honest take on her life amid the unrealistic standards set online.

She holds her hand up and says as the mum of three boys her house is never going to look like a show home and she gave up even trying to make it look like one years ago. The host shares James, Euan, and Rhys with her husband of almost 16 years Ben Ward.

While she admits that like the rest of us, she enjoys posting nice pictures to her grid, she balances it out with ‘Insta Fails’ and ‘Instagram vs. Reality’ pictures.

‘My life isn’t perfect. My house isn’t perfect and I never try and make it that perfect Instagram life because the reality is so far removed from that,’ she told the Irish Independent.

Her warts-and-all mindset is something she aims to bring to the small screen. Anna is looking to step back into the TV world and is hoping to work on a docuseries on parenting and the challenges that come with raising kids in the modern world one day.

That said she is quick to admit that she is no guru when it comes to rearing children and says: ‘Not that I’m any kind of a parenting expert -far from it. I’m winging it on a daily basis.’

Giving insight into her home life she touches on battles over phone use and giving her children the freedom to be contactable but worrying about them having too much freedom and scrolling across inappropriate content.

‘It’s interesting territory and there are probably other parents who are asking the same questions or having the same struggles as I am,’ she says.

Anna’s interest in working on a docuseries comes after she spoke out about suffering a miscarriage at her sister’s wedding before welcoming her three sons.

‘…The morning of, you know the excitement in a hotel suite with the hair and the makeup people there and the champagne corks popping and I could feel the same cramps that I had the first time around and I just knew in my heart of hearts [I’d lost the baby],’ she told Rollercoaster’s A Little Birdie podcast.

‘…. And the saddest part for me of that morning was I think I’ll probably never have children now because this isn’t the one in five this is two out of two because your mind just goes straight to the worst case scenario, she went on to say.

Anna has also been vocal about the abuse she endured from viewers while working in television while pregnant.
