Lokesh Kanagaraj Announces His Next Production Venture, Benz, With Raghava Lawrence

His production house’s last venture was Fight Club.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, with only five films in his arsenal, is already being touted as one of the most successful contemporary filmmakers in Tamil cinema. Debuting with Maanagaram starring Sri and following it up with Kaithi starring Karthi, he then made three films that skyrocketed his fame. Of them, the last two – Vikram and Leo – helped him establish his cinematic universe, in the form of Kaithi, Vikram and Leo. He is next set to direct Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 171. While his directorial skills are undisputed, Lokesh has also ventured into production. He started his own company G-Squad and produced the film Fight Club, which received a mixed response. Now, Lokesh is planning to produce yet another film, the title of which has been revealed to be Benz, starring Raghava Lawrence in the lead role.

Lokesh Kanagaraj shared insights about Benz via social media on April 14. The action-packed thriller stars Raghava Lawrence as the lead, with Lokesh himself writing the storyline. Bakkiyaraj Kannan, known for his work in films like Sutta Kadhal and Sundar C, will direct the film. The collaboration between Lokesh’s storytelling, Raghava Lawrence’s energetic performance, and Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s direction have garnered significant excitement from fans.

In a welcome message to Raghava Lawrence, Lokesh thanked him for trusting the team and said he was excited about working with Bakkiyaraj Kannan. Benz will be the second movie backed by Lokesh’s G-Squad. Interestingly, on the same day that Lokesh announced Benz with Raghava Lawrence, the actor himself announced yet another project of his, titled Hunter Directed by Venkat Mohan and featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad, the action-adventure film is Raghava Lawrence’s 25th film.

The poster of the film looks interesting with a tiger’s head in the forefront, with a silhouette of a man with a gun standing on the top of his head. Raghava Lawrence is also expected to do a cameo in Padai Thalaivan starring Shanmuga Panidan.
