Die Sprache als Roter Faden: Das “Blutbuch” in Wien

Wie setzt man eines der gefeiertsten Bücher der vergangenen Jahr für die Bühne um? Ein Buch, das zentral von seiner Sprache lebt, vom Ringen des schreibenden Ichs mit den Worten, wie es bei Kim de l’Horizons “Blutbuch” der Fall ist? Letztlich so, wie es Paul Spittler nun im Wiener Theater am Werk vorführt. Der Regisseur belässt den u.a. mit dem Deutschen Buchpreis geadelten Text als solches, fokussiert nicht auf die narrativen Elemente, sondern seziert dessen Sprache.

Letztlich ist das Bühnen-“Blutbuch” eine elaboriert szenische Lesung des Werks von de l’Horizon, die sich respektvoll die zentralen Charakteristika des vielgestaltigen Textes zu Eigen macht. Durch die professionelle Deklamation wird manch Klippe des in sich immer wieder krampfenden Gebärens von Worten für die eigene Realität klarer gemacht als dies bisweilen beim schieren Lesen der Fall ist. Der Abend versucht nicht, die Komplexität des Romans zu reduzieren, sondern feiert dessen Polyphonie.

Für die erstmalige Umsetzung auf einer österreichischen Bühne hat Spittler fünf Menschen unterschiedlicher Provenienz gecastet, die sich ebenso als Gruppe wie als Individuen den Sprachkaskaden von Kim de L’Horizon nähern. Geschlechterzuschreibungen werden dabei ebenso vermieden wie im Buch des sich non binär definierenden, erzählenden Ichs Kim.

Die fünf Kims stammen teils aus der Performanceszene, sind teils Schauspieler oder wie Jchj V. Dussell selbst schreibend tätig. Sie erzählen der körperlich nicht präsenten Grossmeer, also der Großmutter, die Reflexionen eines einstigen Kindes über das Frau-, Mann- und Menschsein, transgenerationales Erbe, das Einfinden in den eigenen Körper. Als Roter Faden ziehen sich rote Wollfäden durch die Inszenierung, die gleichsam für das Verbundensein wie die Verstrickungen miteinander stehen. Decken sind Schutz und Hülle ebenso wie Symbol des Zudeckens von Konflikten.

Dabei übernimmt niemand fixe Rollen auf der Bühne. Alle Anwesenden sind alles, mal im Wechsel, mal in Einklang. Und dennoch ist der Abend keine Jelinek’sche Textcollage, sondern hält sich gleichsam sklavisch eng an den chronologischen Verlauf des Buches. Dessen fünf sprachlich teils sehr unterschiedliche Kapitel werden in ihrer Eigenheit belassen.

Interessant wird nun, wie sich die Wiener Festwochen am 18. Mai mit dem “Blutbuch” auseinandersetzen. Dann legt die deutsche Regisseurin Leonie Böhm im Volkstheater ihre Deutung vor, die im Februar in Zürich Premiere feierte. Dabei steht ihr Kim de l’Horizon persönlich auf der Bühne zur Seite, wenn die Vorlage zum “Blutstück” transformiert wird.
