Shirley Ballas reveals her bottom is covered with tattoos - including her toyboy boyfriend's name - in an eye-popping admission

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has revealed she has numerous tattoos, including her toyboy boyfriend’s name, covering her backside.

The TV personality, 63, made the mind-blowing confession after being unveiled as Rat on Saturday’s episode of The Masked Singer.

Panellists Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Olly Murs and Jonathan Ross were already amazed by Shirley being the concealed star – especially her good friend Jonathan – but they were gobsmacked when she told them about her body art.

Olly picked up on a tattoo gun being front and centre for the pre-recorded teaser clip of clues and asked the Strictly star if she had some hidden ink.

When she responded with ‘all over my backside,’ the judges and presenter Joel Dommett could not quite believe what they had heard.

Jonathan’s face in particular was a picture as his eyeballs seemed in danger of escaping their sockets in his moment of shock.

As Davina paraded round the panel, head in hands, she demonstrated the coverage ‘all over’ her rear-end on Joel who had suggested she might have Anton Du Beke’s face on one cheek.

Perhaps the best comedy moment of the exchange was when Joel simply asked: ‘Do any of the other Strictly judges know?’

Thinking they were still on the topic of her bottom, Shirley responded: ‘Of course! Bruno [Tonioli] used to make me show him.’

Stumbling over his words Joel clarified, ‘I’m not talking about the tattoos, I’m talking about the show,’ as the audience erupted with laughter.

The BBC head judge said that nobody at all knew, but the presenter thanked her for the ‘excellent bit of information’.

The show appears to have inspired another addition to the collection, with the Queen of Latin telling The Mirror that she is thinking of getting an ‘R’ tattoo on her ankle or wrist because of how much she loved her character on the ITV series.

While fellow dancer Anton seems to have not made the cut, her boyfriend Danny Taylor, 50, has, with his name featuring on the collage.

‘I’m not so sure that was a good idea,’ she joked.

Shirley and Danny, 50, met on-stage at pantomime rehearsals for Jack And The Beanstalk in 2018 and have been inseparable ever since.

The pair got engaged in 2021, although last year she backtracked on the plans telling MailOnline ‘I’ve changed my mind’ on marrying for a third time despite the relationship flourishing.

Speaking on Alan Carr’s Life’s A Beach podcast, released last week, Shirley said: ‘Two marriages, an engagement, two long-term relationships later and I will not be getting married again. I’ve made the decision’.

Shirley was previously married to former ballroom star Sammy Stopford from 1980 to 1984 before tying the knot with dancer Corky Ballas in 1985 with the couple splitting up in 2007 after 22 years together.
