The 95th Oscar nominations were finally announced on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The voting for Oscar nominations started on January 11 and concluded on January 17, 2023. Among the official list of Oscars nominees in major categories, India made a mark by bagging spots in three different categories. RRR scored a nomination in Best Original Song category. It will now be competing with Jacqueline Fernandez’s Hollywood film Tell It All Like A Woman in the same category.

JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ IS A PART OF AN OSCAR NOMINATED FILM

Oscar-winning actor and producer Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams hosted the announcement of the 95th Oscars nominations in all 23 Academy Award categories in a live presentation from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Jacqueline Fernandez is also a part of an Oscar nominated film now. Her Hollywood film Tell It All Like A Woman has been nominated in the same category as SS Rajamouli’s RRR. They will be competing for the Best Original Song. While RRR’s Naatu Naatu song has been nominated, Tell It Like A Woman made it to the list because of its song Applause.

ABOUT TELL IT ALL LIKE A WOMAN

Tell it Like a Woman is an anthology of films made by eight female directors from around the world. Margherita Buy, Eva Longoria, Cara Delevingne, Anne Watanabe, Jennifer Hudson, Marcia Gay Harden, and Jacqueline Fernandez are just a few of the ensemble cast members in the film. According to Deadline, the feature film has eight female directors and is broken up into seven different parts. Tell It Like A Woman spreads the message of strength and empowerment.

Singer Diane Warren, a recipient of 13 Oscar nominations, wrote the original song for Applause.

The main Oscars ceremony will be held on March 12, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. The award ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
