Eigentlich passt es zur aktuellen Verfassung von Assan Ceesay (27): Es ist nicht ein Gegenspieler, der den FCZ-Goalgetter stoppt. Sondern ein Schiedsrichter! Ref Fedayi San zeigt letzte Woche dem Zürich-Star wegen eines Ellbogen-Ruderers ins Gesicht von Luganesi Fabio Daprelà Gelb – es ist Ceesays vierte Verwarnung. Ausgerechnet im Derby gegen GC fehlt er nun gesperrt.

FCZ-Trainer André Breitenreiter sagt: «Assan ist in hervorragender Form, er hat viele Tore geschossen und auch viele Assists gegeben. Doch nun fällt er aus. Wir werden in gleichwertig ersetzen müssen. Ich habe aber keine grossen Bedenken, dass der Spieler, der seinen Platz einnehmen wird, ebenso sein Bestes geben wird.»

Ob das reicht, ist aber zweifelhaft. Ceesay hat in den letzten zwei Super-League-Partien fünf Mal getroffen, sowohl gegen Sion als auch gegen Lugano den Dreier herausgeschossen.

Andy Gogia im Zweimann-Sturm?

Wie will der FCZ den zweitbesten Stürmer der Liga nach Basels Superknipser Cabral ersetzen? Ein heisser Kandidat ist Andy Gogia (29). Der Neuzugang von Union Berlin hat bereits in St. Gallen und gegen Servette im Zwei-Mann-Sturm gespielt und im Kybunpark auch ein Tor erzielt. Damals an der Seite von Ceesay. Nun wäre es im Duo mit Antonio Marchesano, dem zweiten FCZ-Torgaranten. Für die Position hinter den Spitzen kommen dann wie zuletzt Blerim Dzemaili oder Ante Coric in Frage.

Doch Breitenreiter lässt sich vor dem Derby noch weniger in die Karten blicken als sonst. Das hat einen konkreten Hintergrund: Die GC-Spionage! Der Deutsche schildert: «Unser Nachbar hat diese Woche sicher wieder fleissig zugeschaut beim Training so wie vor dem letzten Derby. Wir haben diese Möglichkeit ja nicht, beim Gegner zu spionieren.»

Denn die Hoppers trainieren im abgeschirmten Campus, während der FCZ auf der öffentlichen Allmend Brunau übt. Breitenreiter: «Deshalb haben wir dieses Mal verschiedene Sachen ausprobiert, um es ihnen dieses Mal nicht ganz so leicht zu machen.»

Das erste Saison-Derby hatte Zürich zwar 2:1 gewonnen. Aber erst in der Nachspielzeit durch ein Tor von… Assan Ceesay.
