Die Oberaargauer können gegen ein Top-4-Team schon wieder nicht triumphieren und unterliegen auswärts beim EHC Visp 2:3.

Erneut muss sich der SC Langenthal einem Team aus der Top-4 beugen. Durch den engagierten Schlusskampf konnte der SCL zwar etwas an Moral gewinnen, nicht aber Punkte. Inzwischen duellierte sich der SCL siebenmal mit einer Mannschaft aus der Reihe der vier bestklassierten Equipen. Die Bilanz meint es nicht gut mit Langenthal. Gegen Leader Olten (0:2), Verfolger Kloten (0:3, 2:5), den Tabellendritten HC La Chaux-de-Fonds (4:1 und 2:6) sowie den viertplatzierten EHC Visp (0:6 und nun 2:3) lautet diese 10:26 Tore sowie 3:18 Punkte.

Gegenwärtig gelingt es dem Team von Trainer Jeff Campbell nicht, diesen Gegnern Punkte abzuknöpfen: Das Duell gestern im Oberwallis gegen Visp glich der vorangegangenen Begegnungen von Dienstag auswärts beim EHC Kloten. Einsatz und Wille werden gezeigt, ebenso Kampf und Krampf – ohne zählbare Erfolge. So ging das Heimteam zwischenzeitlich mit zwei Treffern in Führung.

Nun gegen die GCK Lions

Im Schlussdrittel kam der SCL nochmals ran. Fabio Kläy und Stefan Tschannen stellten auf 2.2. Langenthal zeigte sich sichtlich beflügelt, gleichzeitig suchte der auf diese Saison hin deutlich verstärkte EHC Visp (die erste Angriffsformation besteht aus Linus Klasen, Raphael Kuonen und Evgeni Chiriaev) entschlossen nach den drei Punkten – zumal die Walliser bereits das Dienstagsspiel auswärts beim HC Thurgau verloren hatten.

Durch den gleichzeitigen Sieg der GCK Lions gegen die EVZ Academy rutscht der SCL nun auf den achten Rang ab. SCL-Stürmer Marc Kämpf: «So zu verlieren ist tatsächlich bitter. Aber ich denke, dass wir aktuell auf zwei Sachen schauen müssen.» Neben Sieg und Niederlage gehe es auch darum, gut von schlecht zu unterscheiden. «Schon gegen Kloten haben wir rund 20 Minuten gut gespielt, heute nun fast das ganze Spiel.» Man müsse das Selbstvertrauen wieder aufbauen. «Dazu zählt, dass wir in der Offensive heute kreativer waren, mehr gelaufen sind. Solche Sachen wollen wir als gesamtes, als gutes Gefühl trotz der Niederlage mitnehmen.»

Nun wartet am Sonntag ein heisses Duell auf Schoren: Der SC Langenthal empfängt die GCK Lions. Diese verfügen gegenwärtig über eine der stärksten Mannschaften der vergangenen Jahre – das Farmteam der ZSC Lions dürfte zusammen mit dem SCL, HC Thurgau und dem HC Sierre um die Ränge fünf und sechs kämpfen, welche die direkte Playoff-Qualifikation sichern.
