Back at the start of the year, Asus launched the Vivobook 16, a large 16-inch laptop that came with an IPS display. If you were hoping for one with an OLED panel instead though, then Asus has heard your prayers as they’ve now debuted the Vivobook S series in Malaysia offering both a compact 14-inch and a large 16-inch laptop with OLED displays.

Asus Vivobook S series: Lightest 16-inch OLED laptop in Malaysia, starting at RM4,399
The Vivobook S 14 OLED and Vivobook S 16 OLED will be available from 29 April onwards from all Asus authorised retailers nationwide. Available in Mist Blue and Black colourways, here’s how much they cost:

As part of their early bird campaign, those who purchase either one of the Vivobook S series laptops will get a complimentary Sony SRS-XB100 portable wireless speaker worth RM259 while stocks last. Customers who also submit their reviews via the Asus Your Voice Matters program will earn further rewards such as Asus Premium Care or Shopee vouchers worth up to RM99.
Asus Vivobook S series specs
As mentioned earlier, the Vivobook S series will come with your choice between 14-inch or 16-inch OLED panels. These 16:10 Asus Lumina OLED displays offer up to 600nits peak brightness with full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification and a 0.2ms response time. The 14-inch model will have a 1920 x 1200p resolution, while the 16-inch one has a 3200 x 2000p resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Vivobook S series packs up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with 16GB of 7467MHz LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. You’ll also find integrated Intel Arc onboard graphics as well as the Intel AI Boost NPU for AI-related workloads. On top of that, if you were hoping for one of these laptops with more storage, Asus says the Vivobook S 16 OLED with 1TB of storage should arrive in Malaysia sometime later this year.
Both models come with Windows 11 Home out of the box with a dedicated Copilot key too. As for I/O, the Vivobook S series has two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
Other features of note include a 75Wh battery with support for fast charge to get you from zero to 60% in just 49 minutes. There’s also Harman Kardon speakers, an RGB backlit keyboard, an FHD IR webcam and support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity. The Vivobook S 14 OLED weighs in at just 1.3kg, while the Vivobook S 16 OLED is a mere 1.5kg making it the lightest 16-inch OLED laptop in Malaysia.
