Deion Sanders loses top quarterback recruit as Antwann Hill decommits from Colorado

In what was a big win for the Buffaloes and Deion Sanders this fall, has been ripped up after Colorado commit Antwann Hill changed his mind on Sunday.

When the No. 3 quarterback of the 2025 class committed to Colorado on Oct. 20, he was open about wanting to reclassify to the 2024 class and enroll early at the college.

However, that changed after having discussions with his family, and he has decided to stay in the 2025 class while reopening his recruitment.

“Colorado is still a top priority for me,” Hill told ESPN. “I really just want to take the process slower and make sure I’m making the right decision for me and my family at the end of the day. I’m going to get back out there on the market and make the right decision.”

Hill’s other interests lie with Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU, Louisville, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

He holds a total of 30 offers and prefers to explore those options before making another commitment to a school.

The quarterback from Warner Robins, Georgia, said to ESPN that he will try to visit Louisville in December, but he doesn’t have any other specific trips planned to the other schools yet.

As a sophomore in 2022, Hill threw 3,663 yards for 40 touchdowns and three interceptions and this season, he tallied 2,732 yards for 31 touchdowns and five interceptions.

At 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, Hill is likely to draw a lot of interest away and Colorado will have their work cut out for them to get him back.

This is the second ESPN Jr. 300 recruit to decommit from Colorado in the 2025 class. The first was wide receiver Winston Watkins, who decided to go a different direction earlier this month on Nov. 12.

Colorado has one remaining commit in the 2025 cycle.
