De Coen & Sander Show start op 6 mei, Merel Westrik nieuwslezer

Dj’s Coen Swijnenberg (44) en Sander Lantinga (47) gaan op 6 mei van start op radiozender JOE. Dat maakten ze woensdag bekend tijdens een persontbijt in Amsterdam. Het programma gaat ‘De Coen & Sander Show’ heten. Het is de eerste maal dat het tweetal een ochtendshow maakt.

“We staan te popelen”, aldus Coen. Sander sluit zich daarbij aan: “Stilzitten klinkt als luxe, dat klinkt als leuk, maar daar word je op een gegeven moment niet gelukkig van.” Merel Westrik wordt de nieuwslezer in het radioprogramma.

De dj’s kondigden in september aan over te stappen naar de nieuwe radiozender JOE. Coen en Sander begonnen in 2006 als duo op 3FM met de Coen en Sander Show, waarvoor ze in 2008 de Gouden RadioRing voor Beste Programma ontvingen.

Vanaf 2015 waren ze te horen in de middag op Radio 538. Sinds 2022 maakten ze alleen nog op vrijdagmiddag samen een programma en waren ze daarnaast afzonderlijk van elkaar te horen met eigen programma’s op Radio 538 en Radio Veronica. Radiozender JOE begon op 1 september met uitzenden.
