Addressing the 1st Global Smart City Forum 2024 in Riyadh, Al-Jasser said that the Ministry of Transport has presented multiple initiatives to employ modern technologies to improve the planning work of different modes of transportation. It is noteworthy that modern technologies have been instrumental in bringing down the number of deaths and rates of major accidents by over 50 percent during the last five years.
The minister noted that one of the important initiatives in the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services is related to enabling modern transport technologies and providing a testing ground for various transport mechanisms and systems.
