The Super Bowl is now just three weeks away as the thrilling NFL playoffs reach their final stages.
One of the biggest annual events on the global sporting calendar, the game concludes the season and decides the identity of the NFL champions in front of an audience of millions and in usually spectacular and nerve-shredding fashion.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending NFL champions after their thrilling and controversial 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona last February.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs remain in the running for a fourth Super Bowl appearance in the last five seasons, but first must negotiate an extremely tricky test against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in the final divisional round playoff contest to be held on Sunday night.
The Eagles, though, won’t be returning to the big game this year having seen their recent shock meltdown completed in a listless loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Super Wildcard Weekend.

In the UK, Super Bowl LVIII is being broadcast live and free-to-air on ITV1, with coverage also available on Sky Sports.
Who is playing in Super Bowl 2024?
We do not yet know the identities of the two teams that will be competing for the Vince Lombardi Trophy this year, with the conference championship lineup set to be completed on Sunday night when the Chiefs face the Bills and the Detroit Lions host the Buccaneers in a bid to make it through to the penultimate stage.
Top seeds the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will host the respective AFC and NFC title games next weekend after their wins over the plucky Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers on Saturday evening.
Super Bowl 2024 half-time show
This year, the Super Bowl half-time show will be performed by R&B legend and eight-time Grammy winner Usher. Rihanna did the honours in Glendale 12 months ago.
Country music icon Reba McEntire, Post Malone and Andra Day have all been chosen as the pre-game entertainment, with McEntire to sing the national anthem.
