Criticism Mounts Against Rick Carlisle Following Postgame Remarks After Knicks-Pacers
Officiating has been a major issue in the 2024 NBA playoffs. It seems that’s been the go-to excuse for any teams that lose. It may just look like an excuse, but with the L2M reports and analysis from reporters, it seems there’s actually a swing for some teams.
Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlise believes one of those teams is the New York Knicks. He called out major mistakes from the referees in Game 1, detailing there were 29 calls that should not have gone in the Knicks’ favor.
Carlise wound up being ejected in Game 2 after another poor officiating night against the Pacers. He said that Indiana wanted to send the official report of the 29 missed calls from Game 1, but the Knicks would have been able to view the specific plays.

In Game 2, Carlise had enough, picking up two technical fouls and heading out of the gym in the fourth quarter. He says that the Pacers will be sending the officiating report from Game 2 and will hope to see a major change for the rest of the series.
