Cristiano Ronaldo has handed Manchester United fans a fresh boost, after the forward shared images of ‘the winners’ from Carrington’s training session on Instagram.
The Portuguese forward missed United’s FA Cup and Premier League games against Aston Villa, with coach Ralf Rangnick confirming the 36-year-old was absent for the Friday training session.
However, things are looking up for the Red Devils, after Ronaldo shared an image of himself back in full-training alongside long-term absentee Paul Pogba.

The five-time Balon d’Or winner posted this picture on Monday afternoon with the caption ‘The winners are….’, as himself, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and others strike a pose for the camera.
Ralf Rangnick confirmed Ronaldo didn’t train last Friday and instead the 36-year-old was allowed to recover with a view to playing against Brentford on Wednesday night.
Pictures of Rashford and Pogba will be also be a relief for United fans, with the two players being absent from the squad in recent weeks.
The English forward missed the trip to Villa Park with a dead leg, but the photo suggests the homegrown hero is also back in action at Carrington.

Pogba has been side-lined since United’s Champions League match against Atalanta at the start of November.
On the 6th of January, Rangnick gave an update to the Manchester United website, saying that the French star is supposedly ahead of schedule for his return.
Rangnick said: ‘As far as I know, I was told a week ago, it would be a minimum of at least another four or five weeks before he is fit for training again.
‘I saw him this morning before the training session, he was in the locker room, and I hope he will be back as soon as possible. Right now, he’s not been part of the training group and, even if he was back whenever, two, three or four weeks, it will take some time.
‘It’s one thing to be training fit but, on the other hand, he needs to be fit for the match and competition in the Premier League or the Champions League and this will still take some time.’
