Crichton ready for Penrith showdown
Stephen and Brian were the best of buddies in their Panthers glory days, but they’ll be at each other on Friday night. Brian is on our side, so it’ll be pretty funny if he’s in a tackle because he’ll probably be pulling on my headgear, saying something stupid in my ear. Doesn’t he wear the headgear because of you? Yeah. So yeah, so you just reminded me. So I’m going to put it on him as well because he he copied me first. Croydon has been in touch with Jerome Lui. Yeah, he’s actually sent me a photo of his backside. So good bent are there. Good, good. To sort of start the week like that. Crichton is one of four dogs helping turn the club around. The tone of the revival is being set by coach Cameron Siraldo and the top dog, Phil Gould. Is there anything about this club now that reminds you of the building days in Penrith? Yeah, I think just hard workers and just eager to learn. When I first started there, that’s that’s how. That’s what we build ourselves on. I’m at the Panthers and I see a lot of resemblance right now and the confidence is growing. So there’s belief that you can make the 800%. Yeah, there’s belief. It’s shrewd purchases like Bronson Sherry that has given them hope. His attitude Spot on. After a four year ban, I truly believe I’m still fine on my feet. You know four years at the game is pretty tough. But I’m. I’m kind of sick of using it as an excuse and I want to just be the best player I can be. Sherry’s been working hard doing extra video sessions. He missed the entire Panthers 3. Peat did not watch footy because it would hurt to watch it all. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was, you know then it was it was a hard four years and a subplot on Friday night in Origin 5/8 showdown Matt Burton against Jerome Lui. It’s always a goal for me at the start of the year to be in in that 17. Competing for that shield. I love the spirit of Origin and what it’s about. I love the jersey. Danny Weidler, 9 News.
