The impressive run of director Blessy’s survival thriller Aadujeevitham or The Goat Life, featuring actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead, continues, with the film now entering the third week successfully.

Global Collections Near 130 Crore Mark

According to box office tracking website Sacnilk.com, the film on Day 16 (Friday) made a net sum of Rs 1.65 crore in India. Overall, the film’s net collection in India rose to Rs 69.98 crore and its worldwide collections rose to 129.45 crores.

The festival of Eid has come as a blessing for the film as it has led to an increase in theatrical footfalls. Early reports coming in on Saturday suggested housefull shows for the film.

Najeeb wants his old life back

Along with the makers and artists, the real-life hero Najeeb, on whose life the film is based is also gaining attention. A native of Ambalapuzha, Najeeb, a fisherman, was busy for two weeks, attending all online channel interviews, as part of the promotional work of the film. This helped the public to know more about the conditions he survived in the desert.

However, in the latest interview, Najeeb opened up about the distress he is now facing after a lot of accusations he has faced. As per reports the makers of the movie were not paying him enough after the movie tasted success.

As per a report on Kerala Kammudi, Najeeb has said, “I now feel like returning to my older life which was filled with peace. As of now, after the release of the movie, crores of people have showered their love on me and they got to know my story. However, some are still posting villifying comments which have seriously affected me. My family too prefers the old life that was devoid of fame but was replete with peace.I don’t want any money. If the makers of the movie decide to give me anything, I would surely receive it with open arms and there is nothing more. The makers of the movie are very eminent personalities, and I feel really sad when they’re attacked on social media by roping in my name.”
