SSI Securities Analysis Center – SSI Research cited data showing that credit growth in 2020 reached 12.13% compared to the end of 2019. SSI Research estimates credit growth in 2021 is about 13-14%, deposit interest rates will remain low in the first half of 2021 and may inch up in the second half of the year due to stronger credit output.

In general, the USD is still under pressure to depreciate in 2021 because the Fed maintains strong monetary easing and risk appetite still plays a key role in the recovery of the global economy.

The exchange rate of USDVND listed by commercial banks decreased by 40 VND / USD, to 22,940 / 23,150 and decreased by 50 VND / USD in the buying direction and 30 VND / USD selling on the free market, to 23,320 / 23,370. Center rate also decreased by 10 dong / USD to 23,121 dong / USD.

USD remains in a downward trend, plus the State Bank of Vietnam allows the VND to fluctuate more freely according to market movements and less daily intervention, and all of this can help VND increase. Price slightly against USD in 2021.
