Ellie Leach hints at Coronation Street return following end of Strictly Come Dancing live tour... after she and Bobby Brazier broke their silence on rumoured romance

Ellie Leach has teased a return to Coronation Street now the Strictly Come Dancing live tour has ended.

Actress Ellie, 22, triumphed on the BBC ballroom dance contest with her professional dancer partner Vito Coppola in December last year.

She previously played Faye Windass in ITV soap Corrie from 2011 until April last year, with her final scenes airing the following month.

However, her character was written out meaning she could possibly return at some point, and Ellie may be open to the idea.

She said during an appearance on The One Show on Friday: ‘I mean never say never! She didn’t die!

‘I spent so many amazing years there and grew up there. They will always be like my family! It was an amazing experience there.’

After Ellie’s final scenes aired in May last year, she wrote to fans on social media: ‘Just want to say a massive, massive thank you to everyone who has watched Corrie over the past 12 years and supported me.

‘And also to my Corrie family, I am going to miss you all so much.

‘And yeah just thank you so much to everyone who has always said nice words and really supported me.’

It comes after Ellie and Bobby Brazier addressed their rumoured romance on Monday night, after weeks of speculation that they are dating.

The two Strictly Come Dancing stars both appeared at the TV Choice Awards in London, but arrived separately.

Bobby, 20, was asked about his feelings towards the actress, 22, and praised her as ‘beautiful and amazing’, while avoiding denying the romance rumours.

Speaking to The Sun, the EastEnders star gushed: ‘Ellie is a sweetheart, look at her…she’s beautiful, she’s amazing, she’s good at what she does. She’s a good dancer. She is a lovely lovely friend of mine.’

When grilled on whether he could see them becoming more than just friends, he teased: ‘I don’t know…you’ll have to see what she says.’

Bobby also refused to confirm if he intended on starting a relationship, quickly changing the topic to his career.

He said: ‘Ummm…I’ve got some things to do. I’ve got career things to do, I’ve got personal things to do, I’ve got Godly things to do. I’m going back to EastEnders. I’ve missed them so much.’

Meanwhile, Ellie also avoided explicitly confirming or denying a relationship with Bobby, telling the publication: ‘We’re all on tour together, it’s been really nice to actually spend time with each other.

‘During the show, you’re with your partner all the time really and you don’t really get to see any of the other pros or the celebrities.

‘So on tour we have really bonded and it does feel like a big family. It’s been so much fun.’

Speculation about Ellie and Bobby began in early January when insiders reported they had become close performing Strictly Come Dancing Live!

The pair are said to be in a secret romance and have enjoyed a ‘string of dates’ while touring the country.

They have been pictured enjoying time together away from their Strictly co-stars, cosying up on a low-key date at Nando’s last month and arriving at the hotels together.

Bobby has also gotten very close to Ellie’s family, with the pair being spotted with her parents heading to their hotel in London together on Sunday.

The soap star Bobby seemed to be making quite the impression as he was spotted holding hands with her mum Karen, 50.

Later that day, Bobby shared a sweet snap of Ellie on Instagram from behind the scenes of the Strictly show at The O2 Arena.

She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as Bobby took a snap off-guard, captioning the post ‘yogi Ellie’, as she sat with her legs crossed.

While last month, Bobby was reportedly seen knocking on Ellie’s hotel room door in just his pants, while staying at the Malmaison hotel in Birmingham. 

To celebrate the tour kicking off, a party was thrown in the hotel bar when the soap star was spotted in his underwear on the sixth floor.

A hotel guest told The Sun: ‘Bobby was in our corridor knocking on Ellie’s door after their late-night bash at the hotel.

‘Bobby was clearly not shy about nearly being in the buff as we were making our way down to breakfast.’

The pro dancer, 31, won the latest series of the competition with the Coronation Street star in December and they sparked their own romance rumours during their time on the dance floor.

Filming backstage before their final performance together at the O2, Vito kissed Ellie on the cheek as they both struggled to choke back tears.

He told her: ‘Baby, are we about to perform our last show together? I love you so much.’

As an emotional Ellie replied: ‘I love you’ before going on to say how lucky she felt for her experience on the show alongside Vito.

In the caption, Vito wrote: ‘It has been just perfect right? Love you baby and always remember our promise: “always there for each other”’. No more words needed! Good night baby.’

Addressing their fans, he added: ‘Good night beautiful people. You have been with us in every single moment since the beginning of our journey’.

Ellie shared the video to her Instagram Stories, and added the caption: ‘This man is one of a kind and I love him very very much’.
