Nestled along the LoC in Kashmir, the village of Teetwal finds itself split across the India-Pakistan border. Separated by a political line but bound by shared history and culture, Teetwal embodies the complexities of a divided land.

As you stand on the rope bridge in Teetwal, you’re practically in two places at once!

In Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Teetwal village finds itself split, with one half residing within India and the other under Pakistani administration. Separated by the Kishanganga river, named the Neelum in PoK, the Indian side retains the original name while the Pakistani half has been renamed Chilhana and now belongs to the Neelum valley.
