Im Kampf gegen die in Frankreich grassierende fünfte Corona-Welle hat die Regierung die Schliessung der Diskotheken angeordnet.

Die Massnahme solle von Freitag an vier Wochen lang gelten, sagte Premierminister Jean Castex am Montagabend bei einer Pressekonferenz. Betroffen sind laut Wirtschaftsministerium 1200 Discos. Sie sollen vom Staat Unterstützung erhalten.

Castex kündigte weitere Schutzmassnahmen an, die aber weit weniger streng ausfielen als zu früheren Zeitpunkten der Pandemie – trotz einer Sieben-Tage-Inzidenz im Land von über 400. «Es ist nicht die Zeit für Besucherobergrenzen, Ausgangssperren oder Lockdown. Das wäre unverhältnismässig», sagte der Premierminister.

An Grundschulen soll den Beschlüssen zufolge die Maskenpflicht ausgeweitet werden. Unternehmen sind aufgerufen, ihren Mitarbeitern das Arbeiten im Homeoffice zu ermöglichen. Auf Zusammenkünfte, bei denen keine Maske getragen wird, sollten die Franzosen verzichten, sagte Castex. Daneben will die Regierung die Booster-Impfungen im Land vorantreiben. Bis Anfang Januar sollen 15 Millionen weitere Menschen ihre Auffrischungsimpfung erhalten können. Menschen über 65 sollen laut Castex dabei Priorität haben und sich in Impfzentren ohne Termin den Piks abholen können. Auch bislang gänzlich Ungeimpfte sollen ohne Termin ihre Erstimpfung erhalten können. (SDA)
