Cool Verstappen also trumps Hamilton in the US and further expands World Cup lead

Max Verstappen has achieved his eighth victory of the season in Formula 1 and the eighteenth in total. The 24-year-old Red Bull driver trumped Lewis Hamilton in Austin in the United States Grand Prix and is now twelve World Cup points ahead of the Englishman.

Verstappen has already turned pole position into a win five out of eight times this year. He was also now well away, but Hamilton even better. The seven-time champion dived into the first corner just before the Dutchman. Both fighters then quickly distanced themselves from the rest of the field.

Verstappen a little more economical

Verstappen followed Hamilton easily, seemed a little more economical with his tires and saw Hamilton’s car slide and dribble more on the bumpy asphalt.
