Connor McDavid Joins Best Playoff Performers
EDMONTON — Connor McDavid is on another level.
Everyone knows that the Edmonton Oilers captain is a special player. After all, he became just the fourth player to hit the 100 assist mark in a single season this year.
But McDavid has also feasted on the Los Angeles Kings during his playoff appearances – and that has continued in this current post season round. McDavid assisted on Evan Bouchard’s lone goal on Sunday night, registering his 10th point of the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs.

This is the fifth time that McDavid has reached the 10-point benchmark for a series.
He hit the mark in the Kings and Vegas Golden Knights series’ from last playoffs, as well as their first two rounds from the 2022 playoffs (against the Kings again and the Calgary Flames).
McDavid joins some elite company with this milestone. Only seven players have ever done this before – Peter Stastny, Doug Gilmour, Joe Sakic, Mario Lemieux, Denis Savard, Mark Messier and Wayne Gretzky.
Just the kind of company that McDavid is used to keeping, at this point in his career. Most of these players have something else McDavid wants – a Stanley Cup.
