HOUSTON — Flu numbers are on the rise as the holiday season approaches.
According to the City of Houston’s health department, there were 2,591 flu cases reported during the week ending on Nov. 11.
The following week, 2,914 cases were reported.
“The flu is still trending in the upward direction which is why the health department continues to encourage people to get vaccinated,” city officials said.
