Complaint Against Mallikarjun Kharge’s Son-In-Law Radhakrishna Doddamani In Alleged RS 800 Crore Scam
Radhakrishna Doddamani, son-in-law of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was alleged to be involved in a Rs 800 crore scam by a BJP leader on Tuesday. In his complaint to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Karnataka Lokayukta, the complainant named five others in the case, IANS reported. The complaint, filed by NR Ramesh, BJP’s Bengaluru South District president, specifically named Radhakrishna Doddamani, serving as the Chief of the Management Committee at the Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College and Dr BR Ambedkar Dental College, as the key accused. The allegations against him include corruption, cheating, falsification of documents, forgery, and misuse of power.
The case also involves HS Mahadeva Prasad, Dr NT Murali Mohan, and VS Kuber. The complaint also points fingers at the Public Relations Officer, Amanulla Khan, he further alleged.
According to NR Ramesh, who filed the complaint, the accused allegedly gathered large sums of money from wealthy families by admitting “ineligible” students to MBBS and BDS courses, using fake documents.
“Scam involves more than ₹ 800 crores in connection with admissions to Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College and Dr BR Ambedkar Dental Colleges. Though the college employees’ association members, activists, and few members of the admin committee have filed complaints to the Governor’s office, Chief Secretary of Karnataka government, no action has been initiated in this regard,” he alleged.
He mentioned that from 2008-09 until now, hundreds of irregularities have surfaced regarding admissions through the management quota.
“After the appointment of Amaunalla Khan, a fourth-grade officer as the PRO, the students who had failed their exam were given admission, violating all rules and guidelines,” NR Ramesh said.
According to the allegations, fake academic certificates were obtained from colleges in Jharkhand and other states for students who failed class 12 examinations. They were later given admission to MBBS and BDS courses by taking huge sums of money.
