INDIANAPOLIS — Colts starting quarterback Carson Wentz has sprains in both ankles, head coach Frank Reich said.
Indianapolis has not yet ruled out Wentz for Sunday’s game at the Tennessee Titans and the team is still working through the treatment details, Reich said.
“We’ll map out a plan for this week,” Reich said.
If Wentz cannot go against Tennessee, second-year quarterback Jacob Eason will start against the Titans.
Eason stepped in for Wentz in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 27-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and threw an interception to cornerback Jalen Ramsey that essentially sealed the final result. He finished 2-of-5 for 25 yards.
